International Tax Law
Staff Services (the department of Campus Crusade which serves our staff thru payroll and benefits and insurance) has been working for several years on an international tax law brain tease. The US has treaties with many countries that impact how taxes are to be handled for our citizens living in other countries and foreign citizens living here in the US. Each of these treaties is different. The tax laws and even the thinking behind how they were written vary from country to country. This obviously has direct impact on the income tax and Social Security obligations for our US staff (ICS, IR’s and Stinters) serving all around the world.
To serve our staff, we are evaluating the agreements and requirements one country at a time. We’re a few years into it and it will take several more years, and a lot of smart and skilled people, to bring it all to completion.
Use your expertise in finance, tax law, or international relations to help us solve this giant and important puzzle.
