Conference/Event Planner

Countless people can point to a Campus Crusade for Christ conference as the first time they turned their lives over to Christ, began to really understand what it meant to walk with God, or made a life changing decision. There is incredible power in creating time and space for God to work in the midst of a gathering of people. We are looking for talented conference and events planners to manage regional, national, and/or international conferences and events. We are looking for someone who can develop conference programs, negotiate contracts, is detail-oriented, thrives under pressure, and has a passion for event logistics and tactics.

The conference and event planner’s life in Campus Crusade for Christ:

You will work in a dynamic environment that will allow you to develop personally and professionally. You will participate in many different aspects of conference and events planning as you plan a wide variety of conferences in many different settings. You will work with energetic, talented groups of people from graphic designers to hotel managers.

The day to day tasks:

  • Budget Planning
  • Creative programming
  • Contract Negotiations
  • Site inspections
  • Overseeing the successful execution of all on-site activity including: registration, catering, room set-ups, sponsor exhibits, signage, and so forth.
  • Plan and manage event logistics.
  • Arrange for audiovisual, transportation and other services that make the attendee experience more productive and pleasant.

We are looking for someone who is/has:

  • A BA/BS degree.
  • Excellent organizational skills and extremely detail-oriented.
  • Ability to build relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Ability to manage all aspects of meeting logistics
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities
  • Familiarity with SAP preferred.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively with competing demands for resources and time.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, vendors and colleagues.
  • Professional, reliable individual with a strong customer focused orientation.
  • Ability to problem solve with little to no supervision.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • High aptitude for M/S applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access)
  • In agreement with and willingness to grow in understanding of the campus ministry models, participate in selected developmental and ministry opportunities related to evangelism, leadership, growth and sending.
  • Understanding of and owns the Campus Ministry mission, values and key objectives.
  • Personally experiencing character growth.
